Horsing Around With Martha Stewart

This has absolutely nothing to do with Argus, but it made me laugh and gives a glimpse of Martha Stewart and her horse facility.

Shhhhh....Don't tell Argus about Martha's buffet table, as he might start expecting exotic additives like turnips and mangoes. To my great relief, iceburg lettuce and stale french bread are missing from the spread.

Argus in the Media!

Look for articles on Argus in this month's Horsewyse magazine (Australia) and in the American Quarter Horse Association's publication, America's Horse.

"Ah, every respectable stable has its own buffet."

LOL. Don't show this to my horse.

My "stable" (which is in my backyard) has a buffet of oatmeal raisin cookies, apple wafer cookies, peppermints, carrots, apples, homemade cookies. All the other stuff looks like it be healthy! Why want it? LOL
the video was hilarious. Thanks for sharing. BTW it's only June 3rd and there's already 2 blogs for the month! LOVE IT!

Thank you for sharing that, I passed it along. My horses are quite deprived, no buffet for them!

So glad that Argus' story is getting out there. Katie, you deserve a medal for what you've done with him and he deserves a horse sized medal for hanging in there all those years.

I hope this publicity helps Argus find his forever home.

Any updates on Argus' old stablemates? Did they also obtain freedom?

snort, chuckle, choke...thanks for giving me a good laugh today. Now I see where my mother in law gets her ideas for her freisians, down to the grains, seriously....she must spend a small fortune on their organic everything.

Read the snippet in "America's Horse" tonight... made me tear up all over again. I wish they had mentioned that Argus was a rescue and a bit about the hell his life was. Knowing his story gives that snippet so much more impact!

Thank you so much for keeping this blog.

I have been double-depressive since age 11 --I'm 23 now-- and it is something I struggle with daily. I think about suicide often, but seeing Argus trying so hard makes me want to keep trying too.

This is probably one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life.

I think I would bet money that Martha dosen't even know where they keep the pitchforks in her barn though.

Hi, I found you on Guns and White Roses!
That video is Freaking Hilarious!!! I love it! I also wanted to say what a terrific person to take in neglected horses! I watch the Animal Planet with my kids, I hate to see the horses on there! Any of the animals for that matter.I think the people who "abuse" these animals should get the same treatment!
Your post on Dancer broke my heart, Had the lump in my throat, tears and all! I will be comin back to check on you great people, Keep up the awesome work!

Just wanted to say I've spent the last hour browsing your blog and reading about Argus's story...tearing up many times. Unblieveable the conditions he was in. You have done a wonderful thing to foster and rehabilitate this grand old horse. You are truly his angel!

OMG, that's hilarious. I can't imagine even cutting things up for my Dante. He bites it, half falls on the ground, he then eats it. No mess, no fuss.
